Three ways to get help
Free, in public
If you think you have found a bug, report it in GitHub Issues. GitHub Discussions is for open source projects that build on ojAlgo, and for subscribers who prefer to discuss in public. Both are answered on a best-effort basis. The documentation, FAQ and source are on ojalgo.org, for anyone.
With a subscription
A private line, by email, to the people who wrote the software. Answers, advice and help narrowing a problem down, within two business days — 4 cases a month, from one named contact. Included in the subscription, EUR 250 a month.
Custom Work
Anything where we write code for you: a fix or a feature you need, an implementation, a reformulated model, performance work, or work on an older release. Fixed scope, quoted before anything starts. See Custom Work.
What subscription support covers
Everything Optimatika builds, in its current release, as one relationship:
ojAlgo
The library itself. Formulation, which solver to reach for, why a model behaves the way it does, which parts of the library to use and which to leave alone.
Optimisation Service
Deploying it, configuring it, sizing it, and working out whether a model belongs on it at all.
Solver integrations
Builds against the solver versions you run, on request, and which third-party solver suits your problem.
A case is a question and the conversation that follows it, one open at a time. Support is answers, advice and help narrowing a problem down. It does not include writing code, and a bug report is not a promise of a fix — whether and when something is fixed is our call. Code written on your behalf is Custom Work. For the Optimisation Service, what we commit to is set out in the EULA.
Embedding ojAlgo in a product
You already have the right to. ojAlgo is MIT licensed, which permits use, modification and distribution inside a commercial, closed-source product — no fee, no separate agreement, no royalties. You only have to keep the copyright notice.
We will not sell you a licence you already have.

Free, in public
- GitHub Issues for bugs, answered on a best-effort basis

- The documentation, the source, the changelog, and years of answered questions
With a subscription
- A private channel, by email, to the people who wrote the library
- An answer within two business days
- Questions about your model, which cannot be posted publicly
- Priority bug triage, advance notice of releases, new releases on request
Best effort is what an open source project can promise. Two business days is what a subscription can.
